The ESP was one of the largest and most diverse conferences I have ever joined. More than 400 speakers presented their research from all fields of photobiology. This broad coverage of topics created an interdisciplinary atmosphere and offered new perspectives. Therefore it is impossible to summarize all the scientific presentations and I rather will try to highlight a few presentations and describe my personal experiences.
